| Phillip grew up in Sparta, TN. He went to college at Cornell University, has masters degrees from Lipscomb University and Princeton Theological Seminary, and received his PhD in Old Testament from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA. He has been a minister at Natchez Trace since the Fall of 2000 and has taught in the Bible Department at Lipscomb University since then as well. He and his wife Amy married in 1994 and have three sons: Jim, Davis, and Tim. He enjoys reading, coffee and reading while drinking coffee. He also loves laughing with his wife and children. |
